The Archive

The museum has a considerable archive in the form of hard copy, including documentation, presentations, books and journals. There are also several software packages, many thousands of photographs, hundreds of video tapes and lots of hand-outs and memorabilia (aka "Trash & Trinkets").

The Reserve Collection

The reserve collection contains everything else that is not on display. It includes hardware awaiting testing or restoration, hardware that will never work again but may be useful for spares or special displays, and bits and pieces of miscellaneous hardware. There is a growing collection of Customer Engineering tools and test equipment, which is used on a regular basis by museum staff and which also forms part of special displays, as well as oils, grease and cleaning materials.
