| Kestrel was developed in Hursley. It announced in October 1986 as part of the IBM 9370 Information System. The HDA was fitted into the rack mountable IBM 9335 and had a capacity of 850MB. The drive was fitted with three 14" platters and dual rotary actuators. Each actuator accessed three surfaces, two heads per surface. |
