I hosted a multi customer study tour to the USA in the early 90s, our second stop was due to be Cape Canaveral because NASA were using PS/2 in the space shuttle, We got a call whilst in Raleigh to come immediately to Florida as Launch guests for a shuttle launch, it was quite an experience for all of us. When my customers got to know that the IBM PS/2 was NASA's preferred onboard computer for all space shuttle flights, it sold many machines to the tour attendees, not least of all to GCHQ in Cheltenham who kitted out whole departments with them. |
